Dear Ladies and Gentleman
We would like to inform you that we have begun the process of updating the orthophotomap layer in Geoportal. New orthophotomaps were made from color aerial photographs acquired in 2009 during LPIS85 project. Terrain pixel size of updated datasets is 25 cm. The whole project covers about 85 thousand km2 of south and south-eastern Poland. So far, about 3100 orthophotomap sheets were updated. You can see spatial extend of updated data on attached map.
We would like to remind you that orthophotomaps are also available via a WMS service. All orthophotomap sheets are also described in detail in metadata.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Welcome to the new GEOPORTAL.GOV.PL web site. We are glad to inform you that within next few days, in turns final functionality of this service will be achieved.
At first you will see a Geoportal viewer. This service will give you access to data contained in the central node of National Spatial Data Infrastructure (KIIP), it will be also a gate for viewing data from other KIIP nodes and spatial data infrastructures. Upcoming weeks will be devoted to final tuning of both hardware and software accordingly to the users needs. Finally we will extend the technical infrastructure with an additional cluster of servers and wider Internet connections.
We encourage all those interested in development of our project, to frequent visits on GEOPORTAL.GOV.PL
